The house is set up furnished and ready to move into. You literally need nothing apart from your own personal towels. clothes etc. Everything is there down to the crockery and cutlery. The fridge/freezer. cooker and washing machine are all new. as is most of the other furniture in the house. Including. large double bed. bunkbeds. small dining table and chairs. out/indoor two seater sofa and two armchairs. these are outdoor patio sets but were comfortable enough for our temporary use as a holiday home. Outside the entrance door is a porch and patio area ideal for relaxing. enjoying meals or just and watching the sun go down. The house is very light and airey and being West facing enjoys sun from early morning until dusk.
Heating for the winter months is by way of a large "kacheloven" or tiled woodburner which is the traditional Hungarian way of heating houses using wood. It is very efficient and keeps the place very cosy duringthe winter months.
The house consists of a large lounge. large master bedroom. smaller bedroom. bathroom and kitchen and wide hallway. It has all been renovated to a high standard and is in very good condition. The kitchen is fitted with modern quality units and the bathroom has a full sized bath with shower and toilet. sink and washing machine.
For anyone looking to escape the rat race in a beautiful part of Europe then this is an ideal rural retreat. This area of Hungary is like Devon. but with warmer weather and sunshine! This area is Zala province and is about 2. 5 hours drive from Budapest. It is 30 minutes drive from Lake Balaton. and very close to both Slovenia and Croatia for the adventurous travelers among you.
The village of Bucsuta consists of about 200 people and has a village shop open everyday for those essentials (beer. bread. milk etc. ) For your bigger needs the large town of Nagykanisza is a 15 minute drive away and has everything large towns offer. Including a huge Tesco superstore. Lidl's. McDonalds plus a large choice of local shops. bars. cafes etc. there are a few British families living in the area and they tend to send their kids to schools in this town. (the bus service from Bucsuta leaves and returns at convenient times for taking the kids and is very cheap. )
One of the great attractions of Hungary are the thermal swimming pools. There is a fantastic 5 star heated outdoor swimming pool complex only a few minutes drive away called Aqua Barbera. It is set in idyllic landscaped gardens and has a selection of pools going from 24 degrees c upto 38 degrees. For a family of four it costs about £12. 00 for the whole day. not each. the whole family! Look it up online. it's an amazing place. 10 minutes drive from Nagykanisza is another complex called Zalakaros. This place is absolutely huge. covering about 15 acres. with suicide runs. water slides. wave pools. water cannons. pirate ship. flumes etc. everything a family could need in a waterpark for the day. Slightly more expensive at about £20. 00 per family per day but massively cheaper than anywhere in the UK or Spain. The temperature by the way is very similar to Spain in summer. normally above 30 degrees most days.
So if this description has not tempted you then I don't know what will!
The house is available for long term rental only so rest assured you will be able to live your life and raise your family in peace and security. Obviously pets and kids no problem although non smokers preferred or at least people who do not smoke in the house.
The rent is only £100 per calender month payable in advance plus a refundable deposit of £600 provided the house is left in the condition you find it. Council rates are negligible. about £30 per year but we have never been billed! Water is too cheap to mention and the standing charge for electricity is £2. 00 per month as against £28. 00 here in the U. K. Food is a similar price to the U. K. yet strangely eating out is much cheaper?? booze. ciggies etc much cheaper. as is diesel and petrol. Whoever rents it must insure both both buildings and contents annually. Currently costing around £90. 00 per year.
I will happily chat to seriously interested parties either online or over the phone. just send me your details. thanks for looking.
