ABRUZZO-ITALIAN house for sale..stunning views..beautiful village..2 beds. for sale
This beautiful town house is on 3 levels and is in the historical part of the little town named Castel-di-Ieri (Castles of Yesterday). it has been completely refurbished and would make either a stunning home for someone wanting to start a new life in Italy. or a holiday home. It is on the edge of our equivalent of National Parks. you can see from the view that it is an oustandingly beautiful area and is one of a group of little towns/villages in the region huddled in the hills. but with beautifully kept large wide roads in and out of the towns. Driving is a joy there. if you can take your eyes off the scenery!! It is very near to Pescara (Beach and airport). which is approx. three quarters of an hour away. L'Aquila. Chieti. Sulmona. and the same distance away in the winter there are very good ski resorts. Rome is approx. l and a half hours away by road. and there is a train station in the next village 10 minutes away. there is a bus running continually to and from the village. The village has a large castle with a square turret. and it is a typical italian village with little streets winding around the town. off the main roads. there are vegetable and grocery shops. two bars and an excellent english speaking restaurant. in fact there are quite a lot of people there that speak english. and quite a few quiet english people who have made the area their home or their holiday home. The house is best described as we go through the large front door off the main street (which is a quiet street). This brings you into a large and long living area. with a wood burning stove. and off this room is a wet room and toilet.
Also off this room is a staircase taking you into a kitchen with a fire/hearth and a window with a balcony. This is a kitchen/diner. A door off there takes you into a stunning sitting/dining room with a very unusual stone feature on the wall. and another beautiful window overlooking the street below. as does the kitchen. this is a good sized room and is comfortable and very attractive. Come out of this room. through the kitchen and up a couple of steps and in front of you is a shower/bathroom/toilet. go up a few more stairs and it brings you to two very good sized bedrooms. both with windows overlooking the street. These bedrooms are of course at the top. on the third floor of the building.
The whole house is very well equipped and furnished. with attractive and quality items. only a few personal possessions will be taken at the time of the sale. and of course an inventory would be made. It is owned by a friend of mine. who is reluctantly selling because he has family committments here in the u. k. and does not have enough time to go to the house in Castel-di-Ieri enough. or at least not enough to make it viable. he wants someone else to have the pleasure that it has given him. He has put a lot of love and funds into the house and when you walk in you can feel it. The house was built around 1600 and is in the historical part of the village in Via Simonetti.
You can telephone Malcolm on 07981821084. or you can telephone me (Annie) on 07900375410. Either of us can explain how to go about buying . and help with all the details. arrange a viewing etc.
The house comprises. two large bedrooms. a diner/sitting room. a kitchen/diner. a shower. toilet. washroom. stairs. large living area downstairs which could be turned into another bedroom. thereby sleeping 6 people. and another wetroom downstairs. there is a log store under the building. There is no garden. but there is a large verandah with wonderful views.
This is an absolute bargain for someone. and I know the house well. and think it will sell to the first person to view it.
