The weather is generally a little cooler in the summer period and is like spring and autumn most of the time with the associated pleasant colours and smells the troodos mountains offer an even cooler pine tree aroma. and skiing in winter .
The cottage is 50 meters from the long cobbled medieval main street there is ample parking space. The project. the cottage. has been a retirement project for me and has many interesting features.
Externally there is a large patio area which can accommodate a car port cover or construction and thereby extending the summer/spring autumn accommodation outside where the air is not humid as is the seaside areas.
Inside there is a very functional hand made wooden kitchen with all acrutaments. There are glass tinted patio sliding doors in the living room allowing air and light into the area the glass is heat resistant. the 6 by 3 meters living area has a wood burning stove. air con. gas fire and fans. electric heating swing fans. free view tele. hifi. most wants are covered. A recently modified shower room has an electric shower area fully tiled . The bedrooms are more than adequate and altogether it would be possible to accommodate six people for a short while anyway . Two people would find the space more than adequate or enough.
The dfm mini truck seems that it was designed for this area and terrain. it is cheap to run and narrow for narrow streets. and highly maneuverable .
Lofou is a traditional type village the history of which is partially unknown but it certainly has a significant frankish influence. There are lots of nice village to village walks and cycle rides and a waterfall 10 kilometres away so look at the maps and web sites and you will see what I am talking about.
I am in the uk most of the time now but am travelling to lofou in Sept. I am willing to help and show you the easiest way to travel and shop. Ease the way so to speak . We would need to negotiate a time for this late summer is always good. or spring.
I have a person who looks after my truck and delivers it to the airport for me mins before I land at the airport at a cost of 300 euros a year rarely does it cost me more than 250 pounds to travel by plane to paphos cyprus and back. so all in all it is not difficult nor expensive to travel to cyprus albeit August and school hols is more expensive. Please get in touch. I have a solicitor that is able to do all that is needed. OH by the way the village rates are 100 euros a year water about the same. Thanks for reading this.
